I am a postdoctoral researcher in the field of environmental anthropology. I studied Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Cologne, with semesters abroad at Goldsmiths, University of London, and the University of British Columbia. For my PhD, I received a scholarship from the interdisciplinary a.r.t.e.s. Graduate School for the Humanities Cologne. Based on a research collaboration with a First Nations community on the West Coast of Canada, my PhD project examined human-salmon relationships in the 21st century focusing on practices of caring for salmon and approaches to reconcile multispecies relationships in times of crises.
In September 2025, I joined the Planetary Healing Project at LMU Munich and I am currently developing a postdoctoral research project on possibilities for multispecies healing.
My research interests include multispecies ethnography, political ecology, indigeneity, knowledge co-production, oceans and fisheries.
